The Paris Gateway Program currently enrolls students from Goucher College, DePauw University, and Franklin & Marshall College. IFE works closely with the French Departments and study abroad offices of those institutions to determine admissibility. program description
In general, the Gateway program serves students who are at an upper-intermediate level in French language acquisition (4-5 college semesters) and whose grade point average is 3 or more.
Students admitted to the Gateway Program are ready to follow courses conducted exclusively in the French language and to continue to improve their command of French through daily use in a variety of settings. Typically students enroll in the Gateway program in order to significantly increase their level of linguistic and cultural acquisition, and in many cases in order to ready themselves for a full program of linguistic and cultural immersion, such as IFE’s Field Study and Internship programs.
Students from other home institutions than the three named above and who are interested in this program should contact both IFE and their study abroad office and/or their French professors.
